Somehow I have lost my cell phone.....again! This will be my third to lose. It has been about a year and a half since I lost the last one, so I guess it isn't that bad (by my standards). The last time I had it I was sitting on my couch. I remember it vividly. But somehow it is not on the couch, in the couch, or under the couch. However, this is what I did find in my couch, and under my couch:
One sock.....and all this time I have blamed my dryer for eating socks!
Bank statement ...... don't even ask. I haven't a clue.
Book by one of my favorite authors, Cathterine Mann, that was published LAST YEAR!
My Steel City Mafia business cards....been looking for those for months.
Unused white envelope.
Pen
.....but no cell phone.
Other things I have lost the past two weeks:
My favorite Harley jacket.....still trying to figure out where it is.
Keys (my set), so I was using hubby's since he is out of town. Now found.
Keys (hubby's)....I think I know where they are. I had better check....
My wallet....this one had me in tears. Lost it at the restaurant last Friday. Did not realize it until I got back on base (work). I called and was told by the bimbo "we HAVE looked under the table, but did not find it. We will call you if we do." I KNOW it is there because I had it out when I paid and went straight back to work. Jumped in the car, drove back to the restaurant, and the hostess and I asked the couple sitting at the table if they would be so kind and look under the table for me. And there it was! I love a happy ending!
My mind....I tend to lose and find this all the time. It is a vicious cycle!
Back to the cell phone. I am going to pull the couch away from the wall and look yet again. The battery was dead last time I had it in my hand, so calling it has been out of the question. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. ;-)
Speaking of cell phones, something really annoyed me at the gym today. Yes, you read that right, the gym. Some stupid girl ( I say girl, she was in her 20's) was on the stair climber talking on her cell phone! And not talking with her inside voice! What a knucklehead! You are so attached to your phone, you cannot bear to be away from it long enough to exercise? Is it just me or do you think that is obnoxious too? Just curious.

Seriously, I can't believe your wallet was still there. That part of your story is so happy! I hope your phone turns up. Maybe it's outside your car on the garage floor....or under the seat...I hope...
I recently lost my mind. And a thumb drive (found), emery board (can't get to under the car seat), favorite pair of earrings (still no clue), two sweaters that were supposed to be in a storage bin. I think it's the weather or something.
My youngest ds lost his cell phone for a week... sadly, I found it today when I was taking his laundry OUT of the washer. We've tried all the different ways to dry it out, but so far, no luck. Sigh. Hope your phone saga turns out better than ours did!
I'm also guilty of having this disease and for some unknown reason I always lose my keys...always...at least every couple of months...for that reason every member of my family within driving distance has an extra set of my keys...it's bad!
Hope you find your phone! I lose stuff all the time, drives me nuts. What I don't like is when they are talking on the cell in the next bathroom stall ewwww. Imagine what germs it has on it now? ewww
OK petpeeve cells in the gym, they stay in locker!!!! Why must you be so rude, I don't want to hear your personal convo and I don't think they really think you sound sexy panting .... well ok anyways!
You crack me up, I told Rick I need a clapper for my keys ... LOL
Hope you fnd the cellphone. While it is rather annyoing misplacing stuff the way you described made it sound so funny. Sorry. giggled. Paula
I have now lost my t.v. remote - a day after this post. I don't make this stuff up!
Any luck on the lost and found items? LOL
Love ya girl!
I hate losing things- so I feel for you. Did you ever find it?
I am so happy you found your wallet! I would've completely gone into a mental breakdown!
I always lose my keys...and I always find them in the same place...maybe I've really just lost my mind....
I lost my mind along time ago, but the funniest thing I lost that affected us, was when I broke my foot, crushed all the meta carples, so you cannot put pressure, the remote to the TV and VCR feel into the trash one day in the master bedroom, but instead of struggling to get to them I said "oh I will tell hubby and son later", well I forgot and the trash was thrown out right before the city came, and then hubby was looking for them to set up pre-record, and I said "Uh Oh"...
Otherwise I am the find it lady in my house!
Thank you so much for stopping by with advice, it really meant alot to me! Friday Fill-Ins are for everyone, I hope, because I went to the link and started playing, let's hope I didn't break any protocol;D I hope you find everything that has been lost whew what a pain that is, I know because I continually lose my keys!
Do you sometimes get up from the couch and walk to the fridge or something? My husband ALWAYS places the remote in the kitchen when he's up getting snacks and stuff. Look in there, or in the fridge, or in the bathroom...LOL
